Rank 5 · Metal / Fusion / charged burst with Anarchy support

Downstroke Anarchy Guitarist

A burst-oriented alternative built around high-rank Downstroke Barrage, Heavy Gauge and critical damage. Infinite Setlist enables extra non-ultimate uses, while the common beam, Album and Cadenza package supports the downtime. This is a credible fifth pick, with more aiming and channel-interruption costs than the top entries.

Bindings and combat loop

Assignable non-ultimates: Downstroke Barrage, Heaven's Circuit and Stage Ghost. Ultimates: Wall of Death, Prismatic Cadenza and Anarchy Broadcast. Use Power Chord for focused pressure and Sustain Beam between charged attacks.

  1. Start from a Rhythm Line and mark the group with Heaven's Circuit. Use Pick Rake to activate the Legato/Dead Channel support package.
  2. Activate Anarchy and the Album, charge Downstroke toward the pack's approach, then release where multiple rifts can contact useful targets.
  3. Alternate Downstroke with a different spender to exploit Infinite Setlist cooldown reduction. Use Wall of Death through a controlled corridor.
  4. Channel while repositioning carefully between bursts. Use Cadenza during the most dangerous density spike and avoid replacing a large surviving shield unnecessarily.

What limits it

Fully charged Downstroke creates up to seven distributed rifts. A single target is not guaranteed to receive seven copies of every pulse. Widowmaker's +75% bonus applies to Power Chord, not universally to all skill damage. Charging and repositioning can interrupt beam defense, lowering practical survival despite strong burst.

Equipment and Acclivity plan

Bouncer to protect charged Downstroke windows; Manager for faster farming once those windows are safe. Use Legacy column 5.

Maintain Infinite Setlist two-piece through gloves and belt. Keep the Album in the CD slot. With Time Signature 20, the gloves' affinity reduces the second-cast cooldown penalty from +50% to +20%; alternating a different ability reduces the remaining cooldown of the others by 25%. The three-piece bonus is absent.

All +All Skills totals and effective ranks are for this exact equipment list. Borrowing a relic's mechanic does not add its All Skills, weapon damage, Soul, cooldown or other stat lines. Infusion outcomes are random; this is the target result, not a deterministic recipe.

Bouncer: gear and ability rolls

Choose Bouncer for high-wave pushing. Charged Downstroke interrupts sustained beam protection; Bouncer's threat, shove, Amp You Up and larger Soul pool help you complete those charge windows. This is a survivability-oriented recommendation, not a claim that Bouncer produces more damage than Manager. Use Manager for farm runs when charging is already safe.

On every item, target these common rolled lines: Cleave Splash Damage +30; Crowd Surge DoT +29; Soul Stolen per Hit +5%.

Let Bouncer meet the approaching pack before charging. Use Cyclone/Cascade/Arena control to cover the charge, then aim Downstroke along the pack's actual path after any shove. Stage Takeover diverts up to two non-bosses. Resume beam channeling between charges; Bouncer does not preserve beam protection for you.

For bosses, replace Stage Takeover with Loop Station. For fast farming, switch to the complete Manager item/ability setup from build 1; keep this build's player equipment and skill allocation.

Acclivity on your character’s gear

  • Belt: Skull Collector + Tube: keep three ultimates and the basic-hit lightning engine between charged casts without losing Infinite Setlist two-piece.
  • Necklace: Diamond + Saint Elmo: add current-Soul discharge and lightning rails while the set gloves occupy your glove slot.
  • Accessory 1: Arcwright + Cathedral: build Conduct, spend the cast fork when ready, and release stored non-ultimate damage with a basic or ultimate.
  • Accessory 2: Saint Voltage + Tape Splice: reward your critical cadence and your own status applications with lightning riders, detonations and Groove recovery.
